Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

It has been quite a crazy 5 months in the Slingluff family. Dave took 2 classes at Ivy Tech in the Spring and got his A+ Certification which helped him to get a new job in October, working with computers at a company in Ft. Wayne. We had 3 ft of water in our 5 ft crawl space which led to 3 months of clean up. In August, I got a new job in the corporate office of Midwest Eye Consultants, and I love it! I am still working for the church and doing a little marketing on the side for the store. In July, we were blessed with a great deal on a used car to replace the Bonneville (which also brought some repair costs to our wallets).

It all sounds so big and overwhelming for 5 months, but God has blessed us with the best marriage so we have overcome all the struggles. It even brought us closer, which has made the good things, even that much sweeter. We are so blessed.

We celebrated Christmas with the Neighbor’s family in early December and are getting ready to celebrate Jesus’ birth this weekend with the Slingluff family. They are coming here for Christmas, which will be our first Christmas in our home with family. I AM SO EXCITED!!

The Nativity is set up, stockings are hung, Christmas tree is up, and the smells and sounds of the Season are strong. I love this time of year, and love being with family and friends.
I hope that you all have a Blessed Christmas Season, with friends and family close by and Christ Jesus at the center of your hearts and homes.

Merry Christmas!
