Lovin' Life

I am very patriotic, but for some reason (probably because I'm not very athletic) I'm not a huge fan of any of the olympics. Luckily, my friends have most of the seaons of Little House on the Prairie and let me borrow them. I have had so much fun sitting on the couch, sitting in the bed, or sitting in the back room knitting and watching Little House.

Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong time. Don't get me wrong, I love my life, my home, my microwave and dishwasher (not to mention plumbing and my shower), but I just love the simpleness of the pioneer days. I know that it was hard work to do everything yourself without the tools and technology that we have today, but it was all about loving your God and loving your family. I am looking forward to this spring to really do some spring cleaning and declutter...to try to get back to a little simpler life. I don't know if I will ever get there, but I so want to try.
I am also so blessed with the best friends that anyone could ask for. We have been meeting at Modoc's (a local coffee shop) for drinks and socializing, and then you throw in growth group, shopping in Kokomo, late night shopping at Wal-Mart, and I am just blessed!! Sometimes I feel like I'm leaving David out, but then I remember that golf season is right around the corner and then I will be a "golf widow" and then I don't feel so bad. I love my girls!
I've learned to knit (thanks Nicole!) and taught myself to purl (with the help of youtube)...I'm still not that good at it, but with a 9 hour trip to VA next week, maybe I'll get a little better.
Well, enough rambling for now. If you haven't checked out Aunt Ruthie's Farmhouse (link to the right), you really should. She is so inspiring and I love reading her posts over and over and over again. She inspires me to be a better wife and homemaker and a woman after God's Own Heart.
I'm lovin' life right now, and am hoping to start a blog/facebook for Treasured Dreams Cottage, so stayed tuned :)
