MERRY CHRISTMAS

I am getting so excited about Christmas. I love that I can listen to Christmas music on my radio all day long, and that I can have lights all over my house, and that I can watch Its A Wonderful Life on TV. I just love this time of year.
I am so thankful for my husband. We went ahead and did our Christmas early this year since we will be in Iowa for Christmas (15 inches of snow in some areas...WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A WHITE CHRISTMAS). David got me a popcorn popper (since I love popcorn); some nice slippers with the memory foam, another dock for my iPod so that we can have one permanently in the bathroom, and then we can take the other one in another room; and he also got me some new light fixtures for the hallway and the laundry area. He put them up today and they look amazing!!! I love them. The old ones were very 1960s and not in a good way :) Here are some pictures of the before and after ......

My husband is also the bestest husband in the whole world (I know...every woman claims that about her man)....but I still feel that I am soooooo blessed!! He is just the best!!!! He is a great friend to people who just need someone to listen, he is a prayer warrior to those who need prayer and his heart is just huge!! We have a super marriage and I am so blessed to be married to my best friend. I love our life together!!
Well, enough of the sappy stuff...I got a few pictures out of my camera, and it is still holding on. Hopefully it will get me through Christmas and then maybe I can get a new one :)

My mom made this sign out of some old barn wood my dad got.

All fresh evergreen this year from my back yard :)

Our neighbors from across the street love that our tree has red and white lights on it...Go IU!!

I made this arrangement with fresh evergreen from the back yard and used a basket I got in the Spring. I got this idea from TDC...surprise, surprise!!

The beautiful wallhanging below was made with tons of love and skill by my mommy. She is so awesome!! She has almost made me a wallhanging to go in this spot for every season. Those are my grandparents in the picture on the table. They are super special to me :)

Fresh greenery on the mantle this year. Oh what a mess I am going to have to clean up in January. Not looking forward to that, but look how pretty!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Its official!! The tree is up, the decorations are on the front porch and throughout the house, and Christmas music is playing on the radio 24/7!!! I have 4 of my 5 dials in the truck set to 24/7 Christmas stations. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! We are heading to Iowa for the holidays this year and I am so excited and can't wait!! We will have Christmas with my family after the 1st of the year so that will be awesome too.

My camera is still on the "fritz" so I don't have any pictures yet, but I'll get some soon even if I have to borrow someone's camera.

I am humbled when I think of all the blessings that my God has given to me this year. He has given me a wonderful and warm home, the love and understanding of a godly man, the support and generosity of a loving family and awesome friends, the gift of discovering who I am, and the most precious gift anyone could receive...the gift of His son sent to this earth as a small baby to show me how to live and and then taking my place on the cross. He has blessed me more than I deserve and I will celebrate Jesus' birth this year with gratitude and love in my heart. He loves you my friend and He will meet all your needs!! I have testimony to that :) I pray that your heart is in the right place this Christmas season and that Christ is in the center. "For unto us a child is born..."

Merry Christmas
