Uncle Tim & Grandma Slingluff Visit
Grandma Slingluff and Uncle Tim went to Georgia to visit some family, and then stopped here on their way back home to Iowa. So of course, they brought us some "Georgia peaches". I love peaches!! I also love it that Uncle Tim really knows how to use the zoom on his camera :) He has several grandkids so photo-shooting is his specialty.

Our Home
Our home has been a work in progress for a year now. We actually just celebrated our 1 year anniversary of being homeowners. Its so hard to believe. David's Uncle Tim (Allen) and Grandma Slingluff stopped by for a quick visit this summer and Tim took some pics of the house. Here are just a few (I left out the pics of the pink toilet, tub and sink). Once I get my camera fixed, I'll post some fall pics.

Refrigerator Chronicles...Finale
Well, we got a new fridge. It is pretty much the same as the one we were borrowing, so all is well. Boring update...I know, but that's it.
On an awesome note...I LOVE FALL!!! It is the best time of year, and the beauty of God's creation is everywhere and extremely hard to miss. I love that!! I could be the sappiest person in the world, but Fall makes me feel warm and safe and happy. The smells, the changing leaves, pumpkins, mums....I just love it!! I'm working on getting my camera up and running, but until then, you could check out my friends' blogs and just do a search for some inspiring blogs. They are out there (sugarpiefarmhouse.com).
God bless!!

Refrigerator Chronicles
Well, we had been borrowing a fridge from a friend who didn't have a need for it, and it was such a blessing. We got a call today that they were ready to get their fridge back to put in their new house and they would be coming to get it on Friday. Today is Wednesday. Originally, we were going to do a switch (their house had a fridge that came with the house) and we thought they were going to bring the fridge up here and just do a "switch", but plans changed and we were given the option to come to Indy to get the fridge, but they were going to get their fridge Friday. Today is Wednesday. Well, long story short (too late) we went to Lowes and Sears this evening to try to find a fridge we could afford and that would fit and that we would like.
We're still working on it. We will lose our fridge on Friday, and hope to have a new one before the milk goes bad :)
Some good news, some friends of ours from church put an offer in on a house here in LaFontaine, and the sellers accepted their bid! I am so excited because Nicole is crafty, she quilts and gardens and cans...all things that I want to learn to do :) I'm so excited!!!!! Still praying for their transition...they have 5 of the most adorable kids, but that's a lot of transition. :)
Work is going well. There is talk of giving me a couple more hours at the church, but still in the works. We are getting all set for fall at the store, and my house was hit by the fall bug. When I get my camera up and running I'll try to post some pictures.
A couple of prayer requests. Please keep my mother-in-law, Nancy in your prayers for a health concern, as well as our friend, Jessica. Both have had some severe health issues and are the road to recovery, but still have some road to travel.
God is going to do some amazing things in all of these situations and lives, and He is faithful.

Songs
I don't know why I do this to myself, but I always wait til the last minute to pick a song to sing for special music. This is why I never pick a new and interesting song, it is always something that I have heard before, or sung before, or maybe its just the only thing left at the bookstore. So, anyone got any ideas of a song that I can sing THIS SUNDAY!?!?! Could you go out and get it for me?!?! Could you just go ahead and sing it for me too?!? :)
I'll keep you posted.
